For ten years, Jeffrey Mislovitch lived an ordinary life in a quiet Côte Saint-Luc apartment. Nothing seemed out of place.

Then a rubber band moved.

What began as small, dismissible incidents escalated into something far stranger. Objects shifted across rooms, doors opened untouched, items vanished and reappeared, and new objects appeared without explanation.

Documented over years inside a single Montréal home, the activity grows increasingly deliberate.

[Mortal Things] Chapter 4: Good Stock

Truth be told, Bridget longed for a few moments alone before the holiday descended upon their household. She had been thinking about Malachy Quinn for quite a while now and wanted to find some way to eject him from her mind and go about being a dutiful wife. She had longed for the holidays, had she not? A Review of Obsession

This movie was an honest-to-goodness sensation. For these reasons, I was of two minds seeing it: would it live up to its hype? Or was this just another Marvel-like media circus drummed up by the studio which melts away as fast as it emerges? From my two viewings of this film, I feel like I can comfortably say that it is the former.
