Join the Team
Stygian Media is growing, and we're looking for passionate creatives who want to build something real in the Canadian horror space.
We're a startup running on passion and vision. Right now, everyone works on a voluntary basis, with small kickbacks from YouTube revenue when available. Book sales go directly back into the company to fund future projects (after our split with authors, of course). This isn't a paying gig yet, but it's a chance to shape something from the ground up and be part of a team creating unique, dark content.
If you have ideas, skills in video production, writing, design, or marketing, and you're ready to get your hands dirty building a media company that celebrates Canadian dark fiction and film, we want to hear from you.
Pitch a Show
Stygian Media is expanding our YouTube horror network, starting with the audience we have built through Haunted Montreal and its growing base of 4.63k subscribers. We want to bring in new hosts with strong ideas who are ready to create Canadian horror content that feels fresh and original.
If you have a concept for a series but do not want to begin from the ground up, this is a chance to join a channel that already has momentum. We do not cover production costs, but you will gain access to an established audience, instant monetization, regular promotion through our socials and website, and a supportive community of creators who share a love of dark Canadian stories.
To pitch a show, you must be Canadian. You do not have to live in Montreal. We are looking for ideas that feel new and that fit naturally alongside the work we already produce. You can pitch in French or English.
If you have a show concept that fits the spirit of Canadian horror, we want to hear from you!
Become a Partner
If you already run your own channel, you can still join our network as a partner. This option is for creators who are independent and already producing their own content.
For a monthly fee of $50CAD, your channel will be featured as part of the Stygian Media network. We will link to your work and give you space within our growing ecosystem. As a partner, you continue to run your own channel and keep full control of your income. You will also be welcome to join livestreams, community events, and special projects. This is especially convenient for creators who are located in Montreal, although anyone in Canada is welcome to apply.
If you want to be part of a connected community of Canadian horror creators while keeping your own channel active, the partner path may be the right fit.
*Note: interested channels will be subject to review and partner placement is not guaranteed
