A True Account.

I never intended to write a book like this.

For most of my life, I wouldn’t have believed such things could happen at all.

But experience has a way of correcting disbelief.

For ten years, Jeffrey Mislovitch lived an ordinary life in a quiet Côte Saint-Luc apartment. Nothing seemed out of place. Then a rubber band moved.

What began as small, dismissible incidents escalated into something far stranger. Objects shifted across rooms, doors opened untouched, items vanished and reappeared, and new objects appeared without explanation.

Documented over years inside a single Montréal home, the activity grows increasingly deliberate.

The Poltergeist of Côte Saint-Luc challenges the limits of physical reality.

If one event is possible, what else is?

  • Jeffrey Mislovitch was born and raised in the Montréal area as an only child. During his childhood, he spent summers both close to home and abroad, including time at lakeside rentals, visits to Lake Placid in New York State, and trips to Europe where he stayed with relatives. When not travelling, he attended day camps and sleepover camps, which were a regular part of his early years.

He attended public schools before continuing on to college and university, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with studies in economics, anthropology, and introductory physics. He later completed a Master of Library and Information Studies degree in graduate school.

Jeffrey’s early work experience included roles in summer camps as an assistant woodworking instructor, counsellor, and later in charge of supplies and storage. After university, he worked in a variety of positions, including mailroom and print shop clerk, library technician, and later in a job placement agency where he assisted people with resumes and matching them to employment opportunities. His final role was as supervisor and sole employee of a print shop and mailroom at a house of worship.

In later years, Jeffrey supported his elderly parents. He now lives alone in Montréal, visits his mother in long-term care daily, sees friends occasionally, and spends time online. He lives a quiet, peaceful life.
